That's not to say that we haven't done some lovely things this Winter, like our yearly ski trip to Park City, (thanks to the graciousness and generosity of dear friends) where we ate and drank and poked good fun at each other and didn't ski, but called it a ski trip anyway. Or my solo flight to Seattle to officiate the marriage of other dear friends (yes I'm an internet-ordained minister and, yes, it's really legal).
But mostly, we've just been here, holed up in our thankfully warm little house (baby, it's cold outside!), bangin' away at our keyboards (Ted at his graphics tablet), working away to stay afloat in these "interesting" times. I'm inspired and heartened by folks we know who have lost their jobs, or their businesses or homes, but who haven't lost self-esteem, or resourcefulness, or courage - who "keep da faith", take a deep breath and continue to move forward.
Punxsautawney Phil says that Spring is just around the corner, so we'll stay snug for now and look forward to the ice melting and to new life and new opportunities sprouting all around us.
Just love every time you write - I see your beautiful face, I hear your voice....it's the next best thing to being in your company!
ReplyDeleteSpring is coming!!!! And, glory be to the radiant fields of vibrating yellow mustard.
Dear goodness we are so very fortunate.
